Community Safety Strategy 2005-08
The government has set the Community Safety Partnership a target to reduce crime by 21% by 2008. This reduction will be measured against a range of crimes types including: vehicle crime, domestic burglary, cycle crime, robbery, criminal damage and some types of violent crime. Clear objectives and methods for achieving the strategic aims are set out in the Community Safety Strategy.
The Strategy highlights a number of three-year targets and also details some of the actions that will be taken to achieve success in reaching the goals. For each issue (e.g. anti-social behaviour or violent crime) the strategy looks at:
